Workout Templates
Save up to 20 templates. Launch any workout in one tap without re-typing your split every time.
Overload Tracking
See if you're actually progressing. Volume and estimated 1RM tracked week-over-week for every exercise so the trend is always visible.
Science-Backed Coach Tips
Daily training insights sourced from sports science research, surfaced on your dashboard. Not motivation posts — actual principles that change how you train.
Optimal rest between sets
2–3 min rest for strength, 60–90 s for hypertrophy. Longer rest preserves force output for compound lifts.

FAQ
Common questions.
How does the CLI input work?
Type your exercise and sets in plain text — for example 'bench 225x5x3' means Bench Press, 225 lb, 5 reps, 3 sets. You'll see a live parsed preview above the input as you type. The parser handles cardio, supersets, and bodyweight exercises too.
If I buy Pro on the web, does it work in the iOS app?
Yes. When you purchase on the web, you sign in with the same account the iOS app uses. Your Pro status is written to your profile and the app reads it on launch — no restore button required.
Why is the web price lower than the App Store?
Purchasing online is easier for us to manage, so we pass some of those savings on to you. The App Store price is $24.99/yr or $3.99/mo — buying here saves you about 10%.
What is Live Activity?
Live Activity puts your current workout on the iPhone lock screen in real time — showing your active exercise, set count, and rest timer — so you don't need to unlock your phone between sets.
Does OVERLOAD sync with Apple Health?
Yes. Completed workouts are written to Apple Health automatically, including active energy and workout duration. Other apps like Whoop and Oura will see your training data.
What counts as a PR?
OVERLOAD uses the Epley formula (weight × (1 + reps/30)) to estimate your 1RM from every set. If the estimate is higher than your previous best for that exercise, it fires a PR automatically — no manual tracking needed.
